Custom Deck Gate Built with a Doggy Lookout Window

Sometimes the best solutions are the ones built specifically for how you live - not pulled off a shelf. This customer needed a way to secure their deck without making their dog feel locked out of the world. So that's exactly what we built around.

We built a solid wood gate fitted right into the existing deck railing. It latches securely, swings cleanly, and keeps the space contained. But the real detail here is the cutout window built right into the lower panel - sized just right for a dog to stick their head through and take in the view. Practical and genuinely fun at the same time.
